Hot Wheels Special Edition Cars Hot Wheels Special Editions are die-cast cars produced by Mattel Toys for unique Hot Wheels promotional programs, like the Hot Wheels Collectors Convention and Hot Wheels Nationals Convention. In addition, some other Hot Wheels cars are commissioned by private companies for private promotional purposes. Often, Mattel Toys will produce special cars to promote sales like the Hot Wheels Mystery Car or to reward collectors for brand loyalty. These Hot Wheels Special Edition cars are often unique variations form standard retail models. Many are serial-numbered limited editions that come on an exclusive blistercards. These cars have full metal, chrome-plated chassis, outstanding paint quality and paint schemes.
